Abstract
815,581. Cable couplings. AMP Inc. March 26, 1957 [March 26, 1956], No. 9894/57. Class 38 (1). [Also in Group XXII] An electrical connector 110 for connecting two electrical conductors C comprises two open ferruleforming portions 114 and 116 adapted to be formed into ferrules about the conductors, the free ends of the ferrule-forming portions having tabs 118, 118<SP>1</SP> for locking said portions to the web 112 of the connector. Slots 120, 120<SP>1</SP> in the connector accommodate the tabs 118, 118<SP>1</SP> when the portions 114 and 116 are formed into ferrules. The portion 116 is split, as at 117, to permit each half portion to be crimped separately. The connector may be S-shaped (Fig. 1) or U-shaped (Fig. 8). Specification 815,582, [Group XXII], is referred to.
