Class 97(1) In a photographic objective consisting of three air-spaced components of which the front component is a positive meniscus simple lens convex towards the front, the middle component is a negative meniscus doublet concave towards the rear and with its cemented surface convex towards the rear and the rear component is positive and is made up of a positive element cemented to outer negative elements, the V-value of the positive element is greater than that of the front negative element and less than that of the rear negative element and the refractive index of the front negative element is at least 0.02 greater than that of the rear negative element. Numerical data are given for three examples of the objective shown.
