Abstract
814,048. Batteries. ROTILI, C. April 1, 1957 [April 3, 1956], No. 10484/57. Class 53. [Also in Group XXII] A dry cell is provided with a terminal and closure consisting of a dished metal member 8 resting on the carbon electrode 2 and held in place by a gasket 9 which is pressed downwardly by the inturned end of the container 1. An annular space is thus formed round the upper end of the carbon 2, which enlarges the gas space 7. Exposed parts of the inner surface of the member 8 are protected from corrosion by a film of grease or paint.
