803,978. Cartons for dispensing sheet materials. KIMBERLY-CLARK CORPORATION. April 9, 1956 [May 27, 1955 ; Sept. 6, 1955], No. 10774/56. Class 18. A carton for interleaved sheets has dispensing cuts in its top wall extending from an access opening towards diagonally opposite corners of the wall whereby the issuing sheets are stiffened and more readily separated from those following them. A longitudinal opening 30 may be joined by cuts 32, 34 to the end edges (as shown) or to the corners. The cuts may extend into the end walls. A transverse opening 50 may be arranged with curved cuts 52, 54. The cuts and opening may be defined by perforations for tearing prior to use. The material covering the opening may remain joined to one side of it to form a closure flap.
