Abstract
803,839. Ceiling shuttering. KAISER, W. Oct. 24, 1956 [Dec. 30, 1955], No. 32442/56. Class 20(2) An arched panel in ceiling shuttering is supported from the lower flanges 9 of girders 2 by ends 5 of pairs of support bars 4 which pass through opposed slots 8 formed in the side portions 3 of the panel and have transverse pins 6 which engage the outer faces of the panel sides, the bars 4 being connected together by pins 11 passing through holes 7, the bars 4 being of a length such that their free ends 12 bear against the inner faces of the panel sides so that each side 3 is held between the transverse pin 6 on one bar 4 and the free end 12 of the bar 4 connected thereto. To remove the panel after the concrete has set, one of the pins 11 is withdrawn and the bars 4 are swung downwardly causing the panel sides 3 to flex inwardly. Series of slots 8 in staggered formation are arranged near the edges of the panels so that the panels may be mounted at various heights.
