Abstract
802,893. Typewriters &c. LAMSON PARAGON, Ltd. April 30, 1957 [May 1, 1956], No. 13432/56. Class 100(4) An electrically controlled apparatus for feeding continuous stationery in an electric typewriter, addressing machine, tabulator or the like has a control disc 7, Figs. 1, 2, which makes a partial revolution corresponding to the feed movement-imparted to the stationery and has one or more adjustably mounted switch actuating members each of which has arms 13, 13a which embrace the outer edge of the disc and is clamped thereto by grub-screw 14. When a switch actuating member operates switch 2 through arm 3 the rapid feed initiated by the typewriter &c. is stopped. The control disc may also control starting and stopping of the rapid feed in which case two switches will be required operated by two sets of switch operating members off-set on either side of the disc. The control disc could control mechanism for operating on the stationery, e.g. an address printing unit or a form length cutting mechanism. Sloping faces a may be provided on opposite sides of ends 12 so that disc 7 could be rotated both clockwise and anticlockwise. Specification 777,491 is referred to.
