Abstract
A forgeable ferritic alloy has the following composition: C 0.03 to 0.30 per cent; Cr 4 to 20 per cent; W over 3 to 16 per cent; V 0.1 to 2.0 per cent; Nb and/or Ta 0.05 to 2.5 per cent; Si 0.3 to 2.0 per cent; Mn 0.5 to 4 per cent; Ni 0.1 to 1.5 per cent; N a spectrographic trace up to 0.25 per cent; B a spectrographic trace up to 0.5 per cent; Co 5 to 20 per cent; Mo 0 to 3 per cent. the remainder Fe and incidental impurities.
