Abstract

802,064. Laminated structure materials. WHEELING STEEL CORPORATION. Jan. 7, 1955 [Oct. 19, 1954], No. 538/55. Class 140. A laminated structural unit comprises a core 2 of fibrous glass with a thermosetting resin binder and facings 3 of stiff expanded structural material such as unflattened or flattened expanded metal. The unit may be provided with channel, angle or rod reinforcement 5 and may have two opposite edges 4 rabeted. The unit may have a facing of paper or veneer applied to a face of flattened expanded metal, or of plastic to an unflattened face. Specifications 802,063 and 802,065, [Group X], are referred to.
