Abstract

800,314. Loom heald frames. GROB & CO., A.G. Sept. 25, 1956 [Oct. 31, 1955], No. 29227/56. Class 142(2) Each heald support bar 4 of a heald frame is flexible and is bent away from the adjacent side support 2 to facilitate the addition or removal of healds. A pin 6 is urged by a spring 9 into a recess in the side support and normally locks the bar 4 in position. When the bar 4 is bent forward, the pin retains the bar forward of the frame. Normally, the end of the bar engages a recess in the side support. A hole 12 in the bar 4 gives access to the end 11 of the pin. The eyes of the healds are cut away at one side so that they will slide past the pin 6 on the bar 4. The bar 4 is riveted at 5 to the adjacent rail 1 of the frame which is of U-shape with one limb longer than the other.
