800,048. Golf-club carriers. FREEBURY, L. S. Jan. 28, 1957 [Feb. 9, 1956; April 12, 1956], Nos. 4009/56 and 11209/56. Class 132(2) A golf-club carrier consists of clubreceiving tubes 12 mounted between upper and lower plates 10, 11 around a central storage area access to which is had through an aperture in the upper plate and bracing rods 15 being provided. The tubes are mounted in plates 10, 11 by resilient ferrules 14, 13, Fig. 5, the former being flanged to prevent the clubs knocking the tubes and the latter closing the lower ends of the tubes. Forked bars 17 adapted to take over a wheeled axle 21 are pivoted on two of the tubes 12, inward swinging being limited by the abutment of spurs 19 on rods 15 and the bars 17 being adapted to swing against the carrier for stowage as shown in Fig. 3. A pivoted towing handle, which also serves as a leg when the tubes are horizontal, and a seat pad are provided. According to the first Provisional Specification the lower plate carries short tubes and the upper plate is fitted with spring clips while different wheel and tow-bar assemblies are provided. According to the second Provisional Specification, the tubes are flexible and the end plates are connected by a rigid casing.
