Abstract
The coating of a welding electrode (see Group XXII) consists of, in parts by weight, 5 fluorspar, 15 felspar, 16 high carbon ferro-manganese, 45 rutile and up to 18.5 alloying ingredients such as ferro-molybdenum and ferro-chromium The binding medium is a solution of alkali metal silicates.
