Class 146(3) [Also in Group XVI] A coating for a transfer sheet to be used in a spirit duplicating process for transfer of alkali to a master sheet contacted with a copy sheet moistened with a diazo compound and a coupling agent which produces a dye in the presence of alkali consists of a layer of fat, wax, &c., e.g. a polygylcol wax or a mixture of carnauba wax, stearin, wool fat, petroleum jelly and castor oil in which an alkaline substance, e.g. soda, tertiary potassium phosphate or diethanolamine has been incorporated.
