Abstract

804,276. Endless steel-plate apron conveyers. EICKHOFF MASCHINENFABRIK UND EISENGIESSEREI GEB. Feb. 28, 1957 [April 7, 1956], No. 6734/57. Class 78 (1). In an apron conveyer composed of steel plates 1 secured to the vertical links of one or more round-link chains 2, certain of the plates which are provided with rollers have on their undersides a troughed reinforcing plate 4 extending over the entire width of the plate, and carrying the rollers. The bent-over edges 6 of the plate 4 are each provided with a seam adapted to receive the vertical chain link to which the plate 1 is attached and have also a flat impression extending on either side of the seam to receive the adjacent horizontal chain link. The vertical chain link is held in engagement with the seams and secured to the plate 1 by a U-shaped stirrup 3. The plates not carrying rollers are also provided with re-inforcing plates 4, but of a length sufficient only to accommodate the stirrup 3. In the case of a double-chain conveyer two such plates 4 are provided on each plate 1.
