Abstract

804,251. Two-part couplings. NEW DAY ELECTRIC, Ltd. April 1, 1955 [April 1, 1954], No. 9634/54. Class 38 (1). In a plug comprising a pin-carrying base 2 and a cover 1, the rear end of the cover has a peripheral wall 14 with slots 15, 16 in its forward ends and the forward end of the base has a peripheral wall 28 with tongues 37, 38 formed on its rearward ends. When the cover is slid over the base in a direction parallel therewith the slots and tongues interlock to prevent separation in a direction perpendicular to said direction. A further tongue 31 formed at the rear end of the base enters a slot 21 in the wall 14 and a screw 34 passed through apertures 19, 32 in the cover and base prevents separation of the latter. Said screw is of sufficient length to project into the cable-entry aperture 18 and anchor the cable.
