Abstract

In a method of making resilient cushioning members (see Group XIV) consisting of a body of polyurethane foam with grooves in one face and having a body of foam rubber attached to the other face, a body of foam rubber is placed in the bottom of a suitably shaped mould of slightly larger cross-section and a polyurethane foam forming mixture is discharged into the mould on top of the foam rubber, a lid having ridges complementary with any required grooves is placed over the mould and the mixture is allowed to foam and set, maturing taking place either in the mould or after removal from it. Specifications 748,990 and 774,217 [Group XIV] are referred to.
