Abstract

796,846. Clothes pegs; clips. ROSE, M. Sept. 19, 1956 [Dec. 23, 1955], No. 28619/56. Class 44 In a clothes peg comprising two interconnected beams 1, 2 of synthetic resin which at their central parts are resiliently interconnected by means of a bridge 3, which also consists of synthetic resin and which preferably is moulded in one piece with the beams, at least one auxiliary member 9 is moulded in one piece with at least one of the beams and is situated further distant from the jaws of the peg than the bridge, the auxiliary member being bent to a pre-stressed position 10 in which it presses against the other beam, thereby supplementing the action of the bridge 3 to close jaws of the peg. In another construction, Fig. 1 (not shown), an auxiliary member is provided on each beam, the two members being bent up into a recess below the bridge. In other forms, Figs. 3 and 4 (not shown), a single auxiliary member is respectively bent up into a recess below the bridge and is bent from a position below the bridge to engage the other beam directly.
