A tool for drawing a fencing wire 24 tightly against a post or dropper 23 so that the wire may be attached to the post or dropper comprises a lever 12 pivoted at 14 to a block 10, adapted to engage the post or dropper, and wire engaging hooks 18 pivoted to the lever at 16. The block 10 is shaped to engage the inside of the dropper which has edge corrugations in which the attachment clip 25 may seat.
