Class 81(2) An adhesive plaster includes a pad 2, the exposed face of which is covered by a gauze 2a of water-soluble styptic material. The gauze 2a consists of sodium alginate. Detachable gauze strips 3 protect the pad before use. According to the Provisional Specification a water-soluble gauze covering for the pad may be impregnated with a bleeding-inhibitor.
