759,311. Shaft tubbings. AKT.GES. FUR UNTERNEHMUNGEN DER EISEN UND STAHLINDUSTRIE. June 17, 1954 [June 18, 1953], No. 17828/54. Class 85 Shaft tubbing is formed of tubbing rings clamped together at their abutting ends by interlocking clamping means which take transverse and longitudinal stresses. Flanges 32, 34 of adjacent rings 33, 35 may engage in hook-like manner as in Fig. 2. One end 38, Fig. 4, may be enlarged and fit into a two-part flange 39, 40 on the adjacent end. Both adjacent ends 43, 44, Fig. 6, may be enlarged and have outer and inner clamping rings 46, 45, or an outer clamping ring which may have an inner web or an outer retaining ring. Adjacent flanges may interlock as in Fig. 11 with holding pieces 61.
