Abstract
758,711. Gramophone pick-ups. COSMOCORD, Ltd. Oct. 5, 1953 [Oct. 3, 1952], No. 24838/52. Class 40(2) A pick-up having two opposed styli 13, either of which may be brought into operative position, is mounted by means of a T- shaped member 16 in a bush 19 having diametral slots in such a manner that the styli may be held in an, inoperative, horizontal position, Fig. 4, in which they lie wholly within the arm 18. A rib on the bush 19 prevents undesired movement of the styli through more than 180 degrees, the control handle 21 is pressed inwardly so hard that a spring 20 is fully compressed and a flat 16d clears the rib then complete rotation of the styli is prevented by a pip on the rib. The bush 19 is fixed to the tone arm 18. Specification 723,964 is referred to.
