754,977. Broaching. LAPOINTE MACHINE TOOL CO., Ltd. (Lapointe Machine Tool Co.). June 29, 1954, No. 19078/54. Class 83 (3). A duplex broaching-machine comprises a pair of independently-pivotable work-holders 11 and means for moving them alternately to working position. Each of the holders 11, in a broaching-machine as described in Specification 749,950, is pivoted about a shaft 25 by a hydraulic device 30, a bell-crank 36, 42 and a link 44. Movement of each holder to working position is limited by stops 50 engaging the holder and a stop 56 engaging the bell-crank. The two holders are connected by bevelgearing so that, as one workpiece W is swung to working position, the other holder is swung away for reloading.
