A display apparatus comprises an article or a model of an article, e.g. a football or arrow which is divided into two sections 2, 3, one section being on one face and the other section being on the other face of a window or shop window pane 1, the two sections being held to the pane by means of a magnet 4 on one section and a member 5 co-operating with the magnet on the other section. The object may be internally illuminated and a sheet 6 of transparent material painted or printed to represent cracks in the window frame may be positioned between one or each part of the article and the window pane. The sheet 6 may be apertured for the passage of the members 4 or 5.
