A sheet of wrapping material for a comestible such as ice-cream is provided with two spaced parallel weakened lines 1 forming an integral tearing strip 2 which may be removed by pulling on tabs 4 formed by cutting the sheet material. A single strip may encircle the whole wrapper or two or more strips may be formed in the parallel lines.
