Abstract

739,234. Clothes airers. DODO (EQUIPMENT), Ltd. Jan. 15, 1954, No. 1289/54. Class 52 (5). A clothes airer comprises two arms 10, 11 pivotally mounted on a pin 12, each being provided with a foot 13. A clothes line 19 is threaded through holes 17, 18 in cross-members 15, 16 attached to the upper ends of the arms 10, 11. A jointed stay 20 attached to the arms 10, 11 is locked in the open position to form a rigid bracing stay. The cross-members may each be formed of two parts 35, 36 pivotally connected to a central member 32. Spring- pressed pins 37, 38 slidable in slots 39, 40 engage in slots 43, 44 in the member 32 to hold the parts 35, 36 horizontal.
