Abstract

736,119. Filling containers with plastic material. SECOMASTIC, Ltd. Feb. 23, 1953, No. 5056/53. Class 94 (1). [Also in Group XXVIII] Apparatus for filling a container, e.g. a dispensing gun, with mastic from a tank by means of gaseous pressure, comprises a cylindrical tank 6 containing mastic 20 supporting a disc 21 on its surface, a delivery duct 26 slidably mounting the barrel of a dispensing gun 28, a three-way valve 16 for connecting the tank either with a compressed air source or the atmosphere and a removable cover 9 held by clamping screws 10 and brackets 11. The brackets on removal of the cover are reversible so that recesses 31 may support a drum from which the tank can be filled. On supplying compressed air to the tank mastic dispensed from the duct 26 pushes the gun 28 outwardly until a collar 29 on the gun abuts a collar 27 on the duct. To remove the gun the collar 29 is unscrewed.
