Abstract
728,899. Pneumatic conveyers. JESSOP & CO., Ltd. July 14, 1952 [Aug. 14, 1951 ; Feb. 25, 1952], Nos. 19156/51 and 4918/52. Class 78 (1). A conical suction nozzle 20 for admitting grain to a conduit 22, of the kind which rests on the grain and sinks automatically through it when suction is applied to the conduit, has stop pins 28 which arrest the downward movement before the mouth reaches the bottom of the container. The nozzle 20 may contain a smaller conical member 24 which has a limited vertical movement on the stop pins 28. These pins are fixed in bosses 27 on the nozzle 20 and pass freely through bosses 29 on the member 24. Each pin has a transverse slot 30 through which is passed a rivet 31 secured to the boss. The pins 28 project a short distance below the plane containing the bottom of the nozzle 20. A boss 33 receives the lower end of a guide rod 34, the upper end of which passes freely through a fixed guide. Specification 2702/04, [Class 78], is referred to.
