Abstract
727,429. Batteries. BOSCH GES., R. Sept. 25, 1952 [Sept. 27, 1951], No. 24050/52. Class 53. Primary and secondary batteries are provided with ion-exchanging resins which may be mixed with the active materials of secondary batteries or placed in permeable bags suspended in the electrolyte of primary cells. In a secondary battery urea formaldehyde or melamine formaldehyde condensation resins may be mixed with the lead oxides and in a primary cell sulphonated ethylene oxide resin or sulphonated phenol resin or ion-exchangers based on styrene may be suspended in an ammonium chloride electrolyte.
