Abstract
A liquid ear drop composition comprises a mixture of one or more dichlorobenzenes employed in amount between 15 and 35 per cent. by weight of the total mixture with a terpene consisting of pinene or oil of turpentine. Optional ingredients are (a) vegetable oils such as olive and ground nut oil (b) analgesics such as benzocaine and chlorobutanol, and (c) a quaternary ammonium germicidal detergent such as cetyl pyridinium chloride or bromide.
