711,394. Centrifugal separators. CONTROLLED HEAT & AIR, Ltd. Feb. 2. 1953 [Feb. 1, 1952], No. 2676/52. Class 23 A cyclone separator, for dust-laden gases, comprises a casing 4 having a tangential inlet 9, a cleaned-gas outlet 5, and a truncated cone 6 in the' lower part of the casing 4. Dust particles, from the annulus formed between the parts 4, 5, move downwards outside the cone 6, through slots 10 into a hopper 7. The diameter of the cone top is approximately a quarter of the diameter of the outlet 5.
