Abstract
716.738. Pressure-relieving arrangements for hot-water boilers. STOTT & CO. (ENGINEERS). Ltd., J. May 6, 1953 [May 7, 1952], No. 11490/52. Class 64(1) In a hot-water boiler comprising a closed boiling vessel 10, steam generated in the vessel 10 passes under its own pressure into a condenser cooled by the cold water supply to the boiler. The condenser may be a chamber 16 in the hollow side and bottom walls of a cold water tank 11, or may be a coil or flat box immersed in the lower part of the tank 11. The condenser has a drain pipe 17. The boiler may also have a lightly loaded safety valve.
