Abstract

703,519. Goggles. POEDER, J. Jan. 16, 1952, No. 1223/52. Class 97(1) [Also in Group XXIII] A face protector particularly for motor cyclists comprises a transparent front part 1 having a plane outer surface and having side parts 2 hinged thereto at 3 for folding, straps 5 and 4 for engaging the head and chin, respectively, a packing 6 of leather or like pliable material to scal the space between the shield and the forehead of the wearer and a wiper 7 for the front part operated 'by a wind motor. The motor comprises blades 10 driving the wiper 7 through gearing mounted in a housing 9, and may be detached, with the wiper, from the shield to allow the latter to be folded. In a modification the front part 1 comprises two relatively inclined planar portions each provided with a wiper.
