Classes 18 and 66 A carton, or container of sheet metal &c. having a creased wall 2 integral with the base 1 and a rimflange 4 with flutings corrugations, crimps, or gofferings 4a, is of curvilinear horizontal cross-section, e.g. of circular, oval, elliptical, or rounded polygonal shape, and may be cylindripal, frustoconical or ovoidal &c. in elevation. The creases 21 in the walls may be only at the rounded corners of polygonal cartons &c. The lid 5 may be dished and flanged as illustrated. The base 1 may be embossed or recessed, and there may be a non-metallic lining and/or envelope.
