Abstract
The invention comprises tertiary mono-amines of the general formula <FORM:0702827/IV(b)/1> and acid addition salts thereof, wherein the radical -NR1R2 represents the dimethylamino, ethylmethylamino, diethylamino, pyrrolidino or piperidino radical. The compounds may be prepared by reducing compounds of the general formula <FORM:0702827/IV(b)/2> wherein the radical-NR1R2 has the significance indicated above, with sodium in an alcohol (preferably an alcohol having not more than six carbon atoms) with or without the presence of water or in liquid ammonia, or with sodium amalgam and an acid. In the examples tertiary mono-amines of the above general formula are prepared wherein the radical -NR1R2 represents the dimethylamino, pyrrolidino, diethylamino, piperidino, and ethylmethylamino radicals and their hydrochloride salts.
