Class 139 A "one-piece," watch case comprises a part forming the bezel or the bezel and caseband and a part forming the back and caseband or back which parts are forced one into the other or shrunk one on the other. In one example, Fig. 1, the back 1 having a projecting ring 3 is forced into the bezel 2 or the bezel 2 is shrunk on to the ring 3. The contacting surfaces 4 of the ring 3 and bezel 2 may be slightly conical. A backing of soft metal or rubber may be interposed between the parts 1 and 2, Fig. 9 (not shown). The ring 3 may have a projection 16, Fig. 11, which is forced into a groove 17 in the bezel 2. In another example, Fig. 2, the ring 3 is formed on the bezel 2. An outer ring may surround the parts 1 and 2, Fig; 3 (not shown). If desired the back or the combined back and caseband may be of a stainless metal. The parts. 1 and 2 may, in addition to the forcing or shrinking. be riveted or welded together. In an other example, Fig. 6, the back: 1 has projections 7 and 11 which are forced into grooves in the combined bezel and caseband 2. In a further example the projection 11 is omitted, Fig. 5 (not shown). The projection 7 may have a conical part 5, Fig. 12. In another example, Fig. 4, the bezel 2 has a projecting ring 7 which is forced into a groove in the combined back and caseband 1. In all the above examples the movement retaining edge- 8 is formed on the appropriate part 1 or 2 and the glass 18 is retained in a groove 9.
