Class 81(2) The point of a hypodermic needle 1 is formed by a bevel 5 convex throughout its length which preferably runs tangentially into the side of the shaft opposite the point. It is preferred that the shaft of the needle should be formed with two intersecting longitudinal flat surfaces 3, 4, set at an angle of approximately 120 degrees to each other, the bevel commencing at the point of intersection of these faces.
