706,851. Endless conveyers; loading and unloading vehicles. HARRAWAY, L. G., and ASHCROFT, E. Feb. 8, 1952 [Feb. 8, 1951], No. 3058/51. Classes 78 (1) and 78 (4) [Also in Group X] A grass verge trimming machine (see Group X) has an endless conveyer 12 delivering the spoil, either into a container 200 on to the ground or on to a second endless conveyer 21 to a shoot 22 mounted on roller guides 23 mounted on a lorry to allow progressive filling of the lorry. To this end the coupling between the tractor and lorry is slidable. The conveyer belts 12, or 21 or both may ride on a base plate 30 (see Fig. 6) and flanges 31, 32 may be provided to protect the edges of the belt and prevent the access of soil &c. to the underside. Material feeds on to the conveyer from a cutter 6. The conveyer 12 is driven either from a road engaging wheel 16 and belt and pulley means 13-15 or from motor 37.
