692,057. Assembling panels &c. VAUXHALL MOTORS, Ltd. Dec. 4,1951 [Jan. 17, 1951], No. 1245/51. Classes 20(iii) and 20(iv) A flexible connector strip 10 made e.g. of rubber for securing glass panes in frames, panels in edge to edge relation &c., has grooves 11, 14, to receive respectively the flange 12 of a metal windscreen frame 13 and the edge 17 of a glass pane 15, a filler strip 20 when inserted in a groove 16 compressing the wings 21, 22 of the main strip 10 against the flange 12 and the edge 17 respectively to seal them in the grooves 11, 14. A series of U-shaped clips 30 having pointed claws 32 are clamped at intervals along a projecting flange 25 on the filler strip 20, a lip 33 and shoulder 35 being provided on one, or on both, legs 31 of each clip so that a C-shaped trim moulding 40 can be sprung into position to rest between the shoulders 35 and lips 33 and help to spread the wings 21, 22.
