690,836. Cloches. BIRD, F. H. Sept. 18, 1951 [Sept. 23, 1950], No. 23381/50. Class 20(i) A cloche comprises in combination at least one frame 1 ... 3 which, with a spring clip 5 ... 7, is adapted to support two rectangular transparent plates 4 in angular relationship, and a frame 8 which is adapted removably to support a transparent side plate and which has arms 9 on at least one side to support the raised end 3 of a frame 1 ... 3 or alternatively the adjacent corners of the raised ends of two adjoining frames 1 ... 3. The frames 1 ... 3 each comorise two triangular plate-supporting parts 1 ioined by a strand 2 and mutually inclined at say 105 degrees. the base parts 1a of the parts 1 being. bent up to provide seatings 3. The spring clip 5 ... 7 tensions the frame and supports a plate, e.g. of glass, thereon. In a single cloche the frame 8 supports a side plate, but in a double cloche (as in Fig. 1) no side plate is emplayed, a second frame 1 ... 3 being supported as shown. Extended single or double cloches can be erected.
