699,526. Agricultral implements. DAY, C. J. Aug. 27, 1952 [May 31, 1951], No. 12826/51. Class 6(i) A harrow is provided with tines 13 each of which comprise two limbs 13a, 13b at right-angles; one limb is arranged to extend vertically downwards through a hole 12a in the frame and the other limb lies against a vertical web of a channelmember 12 of the harrow-frame and is retained there by downward deformation of the upper horizontal flange of the member. The harrow-frame comprises flat bars 11 and channel-members 12 secured together obliquely, the tines being mounted at the points of intersection. The upper flange of the channel-member has a slot 12b extending perpendicularly to the length of the member to permit the insertion of the tine into the frame at rightangles to its working position. A portion 12e of the upper flange is peened over to retain the tine, or alternatively the whole of the flange between the point 12e and the slot 12b may be downwardly deformed. The tine is double-ended and reversible.
