689,161. Securing knobs on shafts. CRANE CO. Sept. 1, 1948, No. 23063/48. Class 80 (ii). [Also in Group XXIX] In a valve having a screwed stem 28 for controlling a closure member 61, a knob 64 is provided for actuating the stem and is attached thereto by a screw 66. Relative rotation between the knob and stem is prevented by a serrated part of the stem engaging a serrated insert 67 in the knob.
