Abstract

689,002. Roofs. BLACKBURN (DUMBARTON), Ltd., BOX, L. G., and ROSS, G. S. Dec. 21, 1951 [Feb. 28, 1951], No. 4921/51. Class 20(iv) A porch canopy comprises two tubes, or rods, each of which is bent to form horizontal, or inclined, arms 3<SP>1</SP>, 4<SP>1</SP> for supporting a metal canopy 1, and vertical legs 3, 4 whose lower ends are secured, e.g. by grouting, into holes 10, 11 provided in a step, or paving, 12. The ends of the arms 3<SP>1</SP>, 4<SP>1</SP> are bolted to spigots 7, 8 set in a wall 9, locking pins 17 being provided when the wall is made of cast concrete. The canopy is secured to the arms 3<SP>1</SP>, 4' either by U- shaped strips 5, Fig. 4, which are welded to the underside of the canopy, or by bolts 6, Fig. 5.
