Abstract

686,208. Stands. KENNINGHALL WELDING CO., Ltd., and PARR, H. E. T. Oct. 10, 1951 [Dec. 4, 1950], No. 29630/50. Class 52(iii) [Also in Group XVIII] A stand for supporting a tyre for display comprises a base in which the lower part of the tyre rests and a pillar 4 carrying a vertically adjustable bracket which engages the upper part of the tyre at one or more points. Preferably the base is formed by two spaced limbs 1 of angleiron and the bracket is Y- or T-shaped and provided with pivoted lugs 10 to engage the tyre rim. Screw and slot adjusting means 7, 6 may be provided or the bracket may be urged upwardly .by a spring.
