686,188. Guards for games. BEAN & CO., J. H., and BEAUMONT, J. April 27, 1951. [April 13, 1950] No. 9094/50. Class 132 (ii). To prevent ankle-chafing, the bottom of a shin-guard having cane or like reinforcement 3 covered at the front by a sheet material 1 and at the back by padding 3x, is provided at the bottom with a pad 4 of soft material enclosing the bottom of the reinforcement and being thicker at the front than at the back. The pad is enclosed in soft material stitched to the front and back of the guard and a beading 5 extends across the top of the guard and down both sides to the bottom of the pad 4, the lower corners of which are rounded.
