Abstract
684,104. Hasp fastenings. CHENEY & SON, Ltd., C. W. and CHENEY, C. W. May 7, 1951 [March 29, 1950; June 20, 1950; July 10, 1950], Nos. 7810/50, 15336/50 and 17155/50. Class 44 In order correctly to position the hasp lock on an attachÚ case the attachment plate 2, Figs. 2, 3, of the hasp 1 is provided with locating prongs 5 adapted, with the hasp engaged in the lock part rivetted to the body of the case, to be forced into the lid of the case whereby the attachment plate is accurately located during its final attachment in a riveting machine. In the form of Figs. 5, 6 an extensible hasp part is provided with a right-angled flange 6 carrying prongs 5 to pierce the edge of the lid of the case, the flange 6 ensuring by contact with the edge that the part is correctly at right angles to the edge.
