Abstract
673,137. Juice extractors. PRECISION PLASTICS, Ltd. Nov. 30, 1950 [Dec. 8, 1949], No. 31539/49. Class 28 (ii). [Also in Group II] In a mixing vessel of the kind wherein the contents are mixed by a hand shaking operation, and which comprises a hollow receptacle with a removable lid, the lid is formed as a squeezer for lemons so that, when the lid is removed from the receptacle it may be used for lemon squeezing purposes. As shown a lid 4 is of a domed form and is provided centrally and internally with a boss 13 having flutes 15 which extend from the tip 14 of the boss to its base, the flutes increasing in width and depth towards the base. One or more rows of spaced projections or pips 18 may be provided around the base of the boss 13. The boss 13 forms the lemon squeezing part of the lid, and during the use of the vessel for mixing it serves as an abutment means against which the contents are thrown as the vessel is shaken. Additional abutment means are provided in the form of steps 24 or similar formations on the inner surface of the receptacle 1 and a boss 20 in the bottom of the receptacle. Steps 28 or similar formations may also be provided on the domed wall of the lid 4. Specifications 622,591 and 666,244, [both in Group II], are referred to.
