Abstract
678,405. Seats; stands. WALKER, H. BELL-. March 20, 1951. [March 21., 1950] No. 7089/50. Classes 52 (ii) and 52 (iii). A walking and shooting stick having the usual folding seat portion has the stick pivotally connected to the seat portion and a pair of legs also pivoted to the seat portion whereby when the seat is locked in normal position a seat is provided at the usual height but when the stick and the legs are separated to form a tripod support a seat is provided at a lower height. Fig. 1 shows a stick 19 pivoted to the block 13 which supports the usual folding seat 10, 11, 14, 15 the block 13 also having pivoted thereto a pair of legs 23 of shorter length than the stick 19 and of channel formation so as to lock the stick 19 when it is in its normal position. Fig. 3 shows the stick 19 and the pair of legs separated to give a tripod support., Feet 22, 25 are provided as shown and clips 26 on the legs 23 are provided engagable with notches to lock the stick in normal position. In a modification the legs are of part circular section and are tapered to give the walking stick a tapered appearance, straps being provided to lock the stick in normal position.
