677,879. Impact-pulverizer mills. ETABLISSEMENTS WETSTEIN, L. Jan. 16, 1951, [Jan. 17, 1950], No. 1197/51. Class 59 An impact pulverizer comprizes two chambers 8, 19 communicating with each other and nousing rotors 2, 21, driven in the same direction and carrying hammers 14, 24, and fan vanes 1 provided on the rotor 2 for sucking in the material to be crushed and delivering it to the crushing zone 8a between the rotors. The material is delivered from a hopper 11, Fig. 2, into a reservoir 10 from which the smaller particles are sucked beneath a baffle 12 into the fan, the heavier particles being removed through a door 13. Alternate blades 1 of the fan support the hammers 14 in pairs on shafts 15 carried by brackets 16. The hammers 24, Fig. 1, are mounted on both sides of the disc 21 and preferably throw the material against stationary anvil members 25. After being crushed, the material is discharged from the chambers 8, 19 through screens 17, 20 into a passage 18. The rotors 2, 21 are driven by belts from a motor (not shown).
