Abstract
676,920. Mining-machines. EICKHOFF MASCHINENFABRIK UND EISENGIESSEREI, GEB. June 7, 1950. [June 9, 1949] No. 14203/50. Class 68 (i). In a mining-machine, each of the cutter arms 3, 4 when seen in plan has the shape of an obtuse angled triangle with the obtuse angle located at approximately half the depth of the cut, and integral with the guide sprockets 8, 7 at the obtuse angle and the innermost acute angle are cutter bars 10 which are at right angles to the plane of the cutter arm and extend above and below the cutter chain circulating about the arm. Cutter discs may be mounted on the cutter bar ends adjacent the roof and floor of the gallery.
