Abstract

675,811. Artificial limbs. HANGER & CO., Ltd., J. E., BROWN, P., and DADSON, A. J. S. April 25, 1950, No. 10217/50. Class 81 (ii). An appliance for use in determining the correct positioning of a thigh bucket comprises a device for temporary fitting to the artificial leg, having means for raising, lowering and tilting the bucket relative to the knee joint. A ring g is secured to the knee attachment and carries two rigid members d, e, secured to an upper frame f, each having a slot in which a screw h is adjustably clamped so as to secure the temporary bucket a, the bucket being held to the screws by ball and socket joints l. A third connection is provided by two slotted members p, p<SP>1</SP> pivoted respectively to the top frame f and attachment ring g. A clamping screw t passes through these slots and is attached to the lower part of the bucket by a ball joint.
