Abstract

660,600. Photographic copying apparatus. HUNTER-PENROSE, Ltd. Nov. 3,1949 [Nov. 3, 1948], No. 28596/48. Class 98 (i). A lighting and transparency holder unit for a photographic camera which is suitable for process work, comprises a support on which a light condenser is mounted for adjustment in the direction of its optical axis, a transparency holder mounted with the condenser for movement therewith, a lamp housing to hold a concentrated source of illumination mounted on the support with the source and an opening for the emission of light to the condenser substantially centred on the condenser axis and for adjustment to and from the condenser along said axis, a heat filter in the light path between the condenser and the source and means for obturating all direct light from the source other than that passing through said opening in the lamp house to the condenser. The unit shown includes a hollow arm 1, which is attachable by a plate 2 to the front 3 of a reproduction camera (not shown). A. tube 58 is slidable within the arm 1 and carries at 64 a housing 65 for a lamp as described in Specification 660,602, [Group XI]. Slidable along the arm by rack and pinion gearing is a condenser 4 on which is mounted a transparency holder as described in Specification 660,601. Hinged at 9 to the arm 1 is a flashing lamp 8.
